A total of 41 patients with COPD of both sexes were evaluated according to established criteria. The inclusion criteria were age ≥40 years, a smoking history of at least 10 pack-years, a post-bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 s (FEV1)/forced vi- tal capacity (FVC) < 0.70 (GOLD, 2020), and no participation in a pulmonary rehabilitation programme in the last 3 months. The classification of airflow limitation severity was based on post-bronchodilator FEV1.
